To get to the real heart and soul of a culture means understanding how and what it eats. A culture's cuisine confirms its sense of belonging, bringing alive ancestral memories through stories of local traditions and daily life.
These are passed down through the genes and the fingertips. Cooking is living history. Deeply understood, joyously shared. This has been my raison d'être for more than thirty years. Our culinary weeks go in search of this. In Morocco, where time passes on slippered feet, we divide our stay between the rural charms of authentic Berber hospitality, and the riotous but sophisticated life of Marrakesh's medina. Moroccan food is aromatic, they have a million kinds of pastries, eat with their fingers and the men call you gazelle.
In Southern France we hole up for the week in a glorious pastel-tinted Mas (country home) outside the medieval splendour of Uzès, and venture forth daily to experience the intoxicating, colourful and sensual cuisine that is Provençe. Fête Accomplie - Costs, Terms and Conditions
Cost
Uzès and Marrakesh 1 week (Saturday to Saturday)
€ 2,750 per person (€500 single supplement)
Rajasthan 10 days (Saturday to Tuesday)
€ 7,500 per person
To Reserve a Place
Places are first come first served. A non refundable deposit of €850 for Uzès and Marrakesh and €2.500 for Rajasthan per person is required to reserve a place. Space is limited, so early reservations are advised. The
balance is due no later than sixty days before the course begins. If the balance remains
unpaid at that time, Fete Accomplie reserves the right to treat the reservation as
cancelled, and retain the deposit paid.
Price is inclusive of shared accommodation for Uzès and Marrakesh and single for Rajasthan, tuition, food, wines,
excursions and pre-arranged transfers. Fete Accomplie is not responsible for any other
expenses incurred before or after its courses, including accommodation or transportation.
On receiving your deposit Fete Accomplie will send confirmation, provided there is space,
together with full details.
Cancellation and Refunds
If we receive written notice of your cancellation 31-60 days prior to the start of the
course (and have also received payment in full for the course) we shall refund 50% of your
total fee, less your original €800 deposit. There shall be no refund for cancellations
made 30 or less days before the start of the course, unless we are able to fill the place;
in this case we shall refund all fees except for the €800 deposit. Fete Accomplie
reserves the right to cancel any course should the minimum number of people not be
reached. The refund of all payments received from you, less any forfeiture of deposit,
shall release Fete Accomplie from any liability to you. The quoted price is in Euros and
based on current costs; if there is a change in cost, you will be notified with a full
refund guaranteed if you choose to cancel.
Responsibility
Services in connection with the course, such as accommodation and all forms of transport,
are rendered by independent contractors who are not agents or employees of Fete
Accomplie. Fete Accomplie arranges for these services only as agent for the individual participant.
Participants agree that Fete Accomplie shall not be liable for any delay, mishap,
inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death or loss or damage to property occasioned
through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing
services to Fete Accomplie. Fete Accomplie shall not be liable directly or indirectly,
for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever, including but no limited to
acts of god, detention, war, quarantine, weather, terrorism, civil disturbance, strike,
changes in government regulations, airline or other travel operations. Signature on the
reservation form of the participant or authorised representative signifies acceptance of
and agreement to be bound by all the terms and conditions stated in this brochure.
Purchase of comprehensive insurance is strongly recommended.
