North India

India really is something else and has to be seen to be believed - one of the best countries to enjoy on a tour experience and probably my favourite tour destination.

Be very ready for ten days of fabulous sensory overload in India. We give ourselves over to the very different locations of Jaipur, Goa, Kolkata and Darjeeling. India is a land of extremes and our tour encompasses spicy cooking lessons, shopping, magical candle lit feasts, camel cart rides, farm and village visits, accommodation in old palaces and atmospheric guest houses.

We see how traditional fabric block printing is done in Jaipur, learn how to taste and grade tea in Darjeeling, cook with coconut and seafood in the beach paradise of Goa and unlock the secrets of modern Indian cuisine in sumptuous restaurants in Jaipur.

So say goodbye to all you knew before and enter into our charmed and poetic gastronomic world.

IMPORTANT: For this tour you must be fit and healthy with no mobility issues. There is a lot of walking involved and the temperatures are hot.

About our tours

Our mission has always been to provide really authentic gastronomic and cultural experiences, far from the well-trodden tourist circuits and into the homes, restaurants and kitchens of people with real food soul.

We sample everything, from the chic to the humble because... variety is the spice of life!  As usual the most difficult task has been to choose between all those delicious recipes... those tempting wines... those magical interiors... those overflowing markets... Someone's got to do it - why not you?  I hope you can join us.

We absolutely loved every single minute of India. The food was divine... every single meal... dinners at the stunning homes of your friends and everything in between... from the desert food at Diggi farm to the gorgeous pinkness of the Raj Mahal. I really loved that Tibetan chicken noodle soup on the last night.... and the pork at the picnic. So many yummy memories. So thank you so much Peta, a very well planned & executed taste of India ending in complete luxury at Glenburn... gorgeous people, scenery, tranquility... ah... the bed tea!

India was always on my to-do-one-day list and without your inspiration we may never have come to enjoy and experience this amazing country. Your tour was fabulous - fun, informative and just totally enjoyable. We enjoyed your company and your beautiful singing! We are still awe struck in amazement thinking of the sights and places we visited.
