event Speaking

Age only matters if you are a cheese...

Peta has been public speaking since 2005 when she first hit New Zealand screens with her television series, Taste New Zealand. She is an in-demand MC and speaker who regales her audiences with uncensored tales of her escapades and adventures, cooking tips, philosophy on ageing and 'it ain't over till it's over' attitude. She is a wickedly funny presenter with a joie de vivre that lets the sunshine in! Her hot topics are food & gastronomy, fashion & clothing, travel and humour.

Food & Gastronomy
The best way to access another person’s life, situation and culture is through cooking. Eating and drinking is a ritual of togetherness and it is the best way for a host to express welcome, affection and respect. All important events in our lives are smoothed by food and drink.”

Fashion & Clothing
We love wearing beautiful clothes for the same reason we love cooking and good food – it’s just an easy way to make ourselves happy. With both we are nourishing ourselves, living life to its fullest and hopefully saving the planet a little at the same time.

Travel
To travel is to put yourself outside your comfort zone – it keeps your mind healthy and your heart racing because you have to keep resolving problems. I want to inspire people with vivid stories of my tours all over the world, my double life in France and NZ and how liberating it is to get rid of your preconceptions.

Humour
All my talks involve humour because if you can see the funny side of life you'll live longer, resist the urge to strangle people and have more friends. I cover topics I consider important, naughty or personal, transformational, musical and sometimes scurrilous.”

Peta’s last, perfectly pitched, sweet note of her Edith Piaf song, summed up our Gala Afternoon Tea fundraising event. Eat Your Heart Out was a resounding success. We were in the presence of a consummate entertainer.

Peta was fantastic as she joined in our event, reading and responding to the audience very well. A couple of impromptu songs were a highlight for many of our attendees.

Thank you so much for your wonderful talk. It was a resounding success with $6560 raised! I genuinely loved spending time with you and both Terry and I have had such incredible feedback on your inspirational talk and singing. What a blessing!
